The Painted Lady Saloon in Manistee

The deep fried mushrooms are so good!!!The 1/2 lb angus burger is beyond delicious!!! Cooked to perfection!!!! I have a 23 year old son with autism, and when I asked him what he thought of the massive burger he had just eaten, he answered, "It was GREAT!" This is the first time that he ever said this about a burger.

Food was good, my server my nice and the beer was cold! What more could ya want? Seems like the local diver....definitely OG 🤙

Heading home from a disappointing color tour, we spent the night in Manistee. In the mood for fish, we checked around and decided to try the Painted Lady. Friendly atmosphere & staff. Renae's perch dinner rated above good. My cod fish and chips basket was really good. The prices were good and the service above par. Definitely worth a visit.

If you're in Manistee and want amazing comfort food, do yourself a favor and go here. They've got great broasted chicken and catfish, prime rib, fantastic soups, really awesome appetizers and more. Digital jukebox, pool table, full bar, friendly staff. Service can be a little slow if they're packed, but it's worth it. Atmosphere is cozy, place is full of oddities and antique bits. Good for anything from families to solo dining. It's definitely more of a restaurant than a bar, but still a great place to grab a drink.

Excellent cuisine, and I'm not just saying that because it's a local favorite. If you're looking for a meal with quality local ingredients, that's delicious, and is expertly cooked -- that's also filled to the brim with small town Michigan authenticity -- this in the place.I've from out of state but a regular visitor, and I've been brought to several restaurants in Manistee (and all around the Northwest side of Southern Peninsula Michigan) and The Painted Lady is the only restaurant in the area that I've really fallen in love with with. I've only ever been with large groups of locals so I can't attest whether or not they're terribly welcoming to travellers. That said, I look pretty "Big City" and the servers seemed accepting enough.

Stopped here on way to Chicago. We stopped because of the reviews. Huge menu. Full bar, casual country type vibe and decor. Fish and chips, French dip were great, prices right on, lots of homemade soup to cheese from. Definatly worth our drive out of the way.

The painted Lady was outstanding food was awesome service was great, prices were fair, the portions were perfect the beer cheese fries were food. I would recomend a stop here if your in the area, the first look you might drive by thinking it's a dive, but the food is great definitely stop.

The breakfast here was cooked to my order exactly, and it was delicious. The other outstanding thing was our server, Lexi. So pleasant, and efficient. A really enjoyable experience! Thanks, Lexi! And, Kudos to the chef😊

Fun, cheeky atmosphere with solid comfort food and perky, aware servers without exception.

Very good broasted chicken today, garlic mashed potatoes, and side. We ate here one other time and the chicken breasts were very tiny. But I gave you another chance and it was totally a great meal. Great server with a smile!

Service was friendly and quick. Food was good, we got fish and chips (cod), fish was a little overdone but still tasted great and the FF were perfection! Thanks for the treat on our trip!

We stayed at a local campground and were told this was the best place to go for dinner. It is not on the main drag in town so more of a locals place not touristy. Old fashioned feel inside. Staff was friendly. Menu was very large but we had the New York strip from specials menu. Food was excellent. Would go here again and recommend this place to anyone getting out of town but not looking for the tourist places.

This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SPOT in manistee michigan. There food is emaculant. From broasted chicken, to shaved prime rib sandwich, to there delicious fries! If your meal is in Chef Eds hands you will absolutley be satisfied! Hes been a chef for over 20 years and ya can definitley tell! And if your lucky enough to have Lexi or Bri as your server you will enjoy your wonderful expierence at the Painted Lady Saloon!

Nice, neighborhood bar and restaurant. Great Good! Walleye broasted was flaky and perfectly done. Wife's Cajun Catfish was also delicious! Fast, friendly service too.

We were there early on a Sunday night on a recommendation. Eight people on the spur of the moment sort-of-a-thing. (And one of us has serious dietary restrictions.) I found the Painted Lady interesting (decorated for Hallow'een and otherwise no frills, but pleasantly clean), with a good variety of menu items (amazing choice of soups) and super nice, flexible service. We'll be back <3

Chicken was excellent the only thing I have to offer was the barley soup was a little salty , everything else was excellent, great place for dinner and beer. Owner was pretty personable guy too. Ull like it 👍👍👍👍

I just love this place it's so unique got to try the pepper jack crab soup and the beer cheese pretzels great starters. The portions are so filling you always going to ask for a to go box. This is a great local Hideaway.

An enjoyable place to go for lunch or dinner. The broasted chicken is our favorite to date - have tried other things but always come back to the chicken. Staff is always pleasant and prices are moderate.

Great food, service, and atmosphere! The broasted chicken is delicious! I agree with some other reviews about the sides being a bit underwhelming, but I still enjoyed them. They coat their fries, which I love, but if you don't it's good to be aware of.

Great pike perch dinner. I had not heard of pike perch but it was recommended by my server. I’ll be back next time in town.

I had a great Ruben sandwich here. My wife and I were from out of town and had a warm reception from the staff and patrons. It's a fun atmosphere with a super old feel. They don't have much on draft but what they do are good choices. I would definitely stop back anytime.
